Entry #10 Appreciation

Image
In my psychology class I did an extra credit assignment. The assignment was that we had to write ten things In our everyday lives that we are grateful for. Even if it was the tiniest thing. Such as Arms, fingers,or even the remotes to our TVs. I believe not many people actually appreciate their everyday lives. They wake up and repeat the same thing they did the day before. That extra credit assignment really made me think about how much I appreciate even the tiniest things. I did it for a whole week and had to force myself to start thinking about it close to the end. It was a eye opener to what I usually would think about. Then I realized, what I realized at the beginning of the project, that there is never anything to not appreciate. Especially with all of the disasters around the world we should appreciate everything we have. From food,to family,to body parts. Nothing should go unappreciated, not even when someone holds the door open for you. We should...

Entry #9 The biter truth

Image
Have you ever glanced at something then looked away? Only to look back at it again to get a better look at it?That’s exactly how I feel when I look at certain foods. Sometimes I see certain foods that look like plastic. I’ll even bite into a type of meat and it’ll taste like rubber. So when I see videos,or read articles about what they do to animals I imagine how they process all of that. Farmers are most likely just doing their job. If they wanted to change their ways I believe they could do it. Farmers that do not harm there animals do it,so why can’t the others? Is it the money they would be loosing or making? Until I read this article  https://www.aspca.org/animal-cruelty/farm-animal-welfare  I finally understood  that not only are the animals being affected,so are the farmers. It turns out the farmer-to-caretaker ratio is not even at all. The farmers get the decision of how to take care of the animals taken away from them tha...

Entry #8 The future is always coming..

The future can be scary and also very exciting. Nobody knows what is to come. So because of that, we all work hard every single day like there is no tomorrow. Even if some of us do not realize it we are working hard. Some of us are even working harder than others. Not only is the future full of surprises it is full of new ideas. Those ideas fall into the category of technology. Technology is crazy growing and does not seem to be stopping. For crying out loud the new Apple 8 just released and I thought that Apple would have stopped at the iPhone 7. Not only is the iPhone never ending in sizes and updates, computers are growing too! Everything around us is growing crazy fast and is never stopping. So that is why everyone is thinking about what they are doing the next day, or week. A lot of people are even trying to come up with new ideas for technology.    No one even knows what is to come. We all may be expecting big outcomes but it could be an...

Entry #7 Americas truth

The purpose of this video was to show the audience how animals really are being treated. To show everyone who watched fresh(video)that showed abuse and what they have to go through. The video is supposed to perhaps convince watchers to not eat artificially grown animals filled with hormones and infected with diseases. It should make everyone feel disgusted and a little sad on how they are treated and raised.     I would say the audience is the viewers of the video. It could also be protesters against ill raised animals. Vegans convincing meat eaters to turn over to healthier ways. Convincing them that long-term effects are better than the short-term effects. The tone was more of a sad tone and disappointed because of how things have to be now. The way farming is done today can possibly lead to worse effects in the future. The parts of the film that surprised me are the part where they are dropping all the baby chicks on the floor with no care. Another part...
